I'll try to get a summary of the annual meeting on the blog soon. However, some highlights from the meeting included the election of three board members, one existing (John Evans - that's me) and two new members, Christy Hall and Dan Cuffe. We had 13 candidates the highest number in years and everyone one of the candidates was outstanding. I heard several people say they had to constantly change their votes because there were so many super options. Thanks again.
At the meeting we had a presentation from the contractor we've hired to make the major pool renovations this year. We are right in the middle of all this. Kilo Krahn, our facilities board member, has worked many hours coordinating this project. I think we are within a couple of day of being ready to apply the plaster. Our contractor said that watching the process is interesting and he'll let us know when it takes place so folks can come out and watch our new surface get installed - I bet the small kids would love to see it. Very Exciting. Here are two pictures of the progress so far...most demolition and preparation. I'll post more pictures as we get them. Picture One, Picture Two.
Please check out the link on the side of this page to the Social Events. Kristen Weeks, our Social Coordinator, has developed a list of proposed events that really spice things up this season. Some of you have expressed interest in being involved and so if you want to help coordinate some of these we would love the help.
Thanks all for now. Keep an eye out for the e-mail blast about Easter Egg Hunt, Work Day(s) etc...
